He earned his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine and his psychiatric degree from the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute. He has also been a visiting professor of management in the MBA/PhD program at Claremont Graduate University's, Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management.
